A beautiful day
On June 26 and 27, a total of 40 brand new Ocean Ambassadors boarded the Store Baelt for the first The Ocean Movement plastic expedition after the lock-down. We will share their stories in the coming weeks.

We have been conducting this kind of research since 2016. The sample contained 2112 particles of plastic per square km. On average, we find 3633 particles per square kilometer in the Wadden Sea. In total, we have now taken 112 samples. Most of our samples were taken in the Wadden Sea, the North Sea, the Baltic Sea, the Channel, the Atlantic Ocean and various Dutch inland water bodies. In 94% of these samples we found plastic.
