The Ocean Movement
The Ocean Movement (formerly By the Ocean we Unite) is a small foundation that aims to use research as a tool to address the plastic pollution problem. During our sailing expeditions in for example the North Sea, Wadden Sea and Baltic Sea, we investigate together with the on board sailing expedition members (citizen science) the (micro-) plastic pollution problem in the water, unite groups of people by learning together about the sources and solutions for plastic pollution, and experience the beauty and power of nature. This is how our expedition members become intrinsically motivated to tackle plastic pollution in their own environment. Our main focus groups are youngsters, adolescents and company teams.
