Nella van Braam

I have lived all my life enjoying our beautiful waters and as a very young girl I learned to sail, swim and skate. I have always been enchanted by the versatile marine nature.

I was shocked to see the deplorable state of our oceans when I first joined a sailing expedition with By the Ocean we Unite as it was named then. I joined the foundation in juni 2017 and we worked like crazy to tell the world about one of the biggest environmental disasters we are facing. Among other jobs like finance, HR, Office, I organised numerous expeditions and events with companies, scholars, students and I am very proud of what we achieved. We had a whale of a time!

Last year I stepped down from my managerial role and I am so happy we lived through the covid-19 period without any governmental support. I am so happy to be able to use my capabilities and help guide the Foundation, run by fantastic people, into the future.

We are ready to make an impact!
