Martine Figee

Throughout my life I have always been fascinated by nature; animals, plants and insects
alike. However, it was not until the spring of 2022 in Mexico that I truly got to know the ocean
and its inhabitants, as well as the danger it is in. The sea is not just important for me, but for
all of us to continue to live, so I want to help protect it.
As a Biology student focussing on Marine Ecology, and a volunteer for The Ocean
Movement, I want to share my passion, and pass on my drive to better our marine
ecosystems to other people. United, we can tackle the threat plastic poses to our oceans and
make a difference!
